RHOMBERG MILL
RHOMBERG MILL. In 1852 Harvey Thompson constructed a six-story flour mill along the Little Maquoketa River north of Dubuque near Sageville. His widow sold the THOMPSON MILL and the surrounding to land to Joseph A. RHOMBERG in November 1890. (1) Known for many years as the Morris Flour Mill, the building was located along the Sageville Road. It was destroyed by fire on January 8, 1943. (2)
