ORIENTAL SWEET SHOP. In 1917 this ice cream shop was operated by Arthur and Daniel Diamond. The Telegraph Herald described the interior as having "scenes from all parts of the world...solid oak booths...combined with Egyptian Red Marble, Japanese art fixtures and plate glass." (1)

The 1918 Dubuque and East Dubuque City Directory through the 1934 Dubuque City Directory listed 823 Main as the address.
