KATZENJAMMERS. German band of the 1890s. Remembered for their merrily spontaneous parades down many of Dubuque's major STREETS, the band also performed at the Saegerbund Auditorium. Occasionally band members donned makeup and a variety of uniforms for an unannounced performance along Central Avenue where they visited taverns for a bit of music and liquid refreshment.
