ROBINSON, Frederick C.
ROBINSON, Frederick C. (Dubuque, IA, Sept. 18, 1871-- ). Robinson received his early education in the public schools and later entered BAYLESS BUSINESS COLLEGE. (1)
For a time Robinson was connected with the firm of DUNCAN & WALLER. In 1895, however, in partnership with Frank COATES he bought out this firm and under the name of Coates & Robinson continued the business until Coates purchased his interest. (2)
Robinson served several successive terms for a total of eighteen years in Dubuque as Grand Secretary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America. (3) In 1921 the organization announced that it decided to erect its memorial building and move its national headquarters to Chicago. Robinson announced in June that he would be retaining his entire staff which would relocate with him from Dubuque. (4)
