PFIFFNER, J. J.
PFIFFNER, J. J. (Switzerland, Sept. 8, 1828-- ). Pfiffner emigrated to America in 1843. He came to Illinois and lived there nine years in different places, then came to Galena and lived there eight years.
Pfiffner came to Dubuque County in 1859 and farmed for eight years. He then worked in the saw-mill and flour mill business. He opened his grocery in 1877. Pfiffner held the office of Assessor of Jefferson Township and also held school offices.
