FITZPATRICK, Thomas J. (Greeley, IA, Sept. 25, 1872--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 19,1916). In 1896 Fitzpatrick opened his legal practice in Dubuque and won election to the office of county attorney in 1903 and 1904.

Considered a brilliant lawyer in the field of trial law, Fitzpatrick was the senior member of the firm of Fitzpatrick and Frantzen. He was a member of the board of education for five years and prominent in the DUBUQUE COMMERCIAL CLUB. Fitzpatrick and his wife were killed in a one-car accident when their automobile went off the road near Key West.
