COLLINS, Cornelius. (Unknown). Collins came to Dubuque in 1841 and became one of the most important home builders in the community. He exchanged his labor for the brick work on his first home. By 1867 he had constructed eleven important residences in the community including a $3,000 brick or stone house on the side of the bluff at the head of 6th Street.
