TOEPEL, William V. (Galena, IL---Dubuque, IA, May 1962). The founder of the Dubuque Foundry Corporation in 1918, Toepel was also involved in the cigar box business in Galena, Illinois for many years.
Active in the community, Toepel served as chairman of many fund drives for charities. His family provided the STATUE OF LIBERTY memorial in WASHINGTON PARK to the Boy Scout Council for Dubuque. He was a past president of the Northeast Council of Boy Scouts and received the Silver Beaver Award.
