JAEGGI, Albert M. (Dubuque, IA, May 30, 1866--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 10, 1933). President, James Levi Company. Beginning his career in retail sales as a bundle boy for the firm of Keys and Sullivan, Jaeggi rose to the position of silk buyer for the successor firm of Sullivan and Stampfer. Continuing his rise in business, Jaeggi returned from the Spanish-American War and became a partner in the firm of Sullivan, Stampfer, and Jaeggi Carpet Company. He later served as secretary and treasurer of the Sullivan and Stampfer Company and its successor, the J.F. Stampfer Company.
Joining other business associates, Jaeggi took over the ownership of the James Levi Company department store. Jaeggi served as president and general manager until the dissolution of the firm.
