C. K. Mathis--2500 Broadway. Christopher Mathis (Dubuque, IA, 1861--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 11, 1936) was the proprietor of the C. K. Mathis Brewery. He owned this house from 1894 to 1899 when it was purchased by Frederick N. KRETSCHMER. He owned the house from 1899 to 1908 when it was purchased by Henry Kiehne. It was sold in 1910 to Frank M. RHOMBERG.
