PEASLEE, BREDE COMPANY. Business. Formed in 1903, the company was an extension of PEASLEE'S ALE BREWERY founded in 1866 by Amos H. PEASLEE. From 1880 to 1896 Edward C. Peaslee managed the brewery and added the sale of fine cigars. The company moved to 272 East 4th Street in 1897. Peaslee, Brede Company included the operation of the brewery, a brewing agency, a saloon, and a wholesale cigar trade. The business closed in 1907.
