TSCHIRGI, George. (Dubuque, IA--Wyola, MT, Jan. 5, 1936). The son of Matthew TSCHIRGI and Katherina Zollicoffer Tschirgi, lived in Dubuque during his youth and then moved to Montana. He was one of the first permanent settlers.

After years of purchasing land his holdings in Montana and Arizona were among the largest. He was known as a horticulturist and agriculturist.
