WULLWEBER, Christian. (Hagenow, Germany, July 1, 1833--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 22, 1877). United States Minister to Ecuador. Wullweber, a Dubuque attorney educated at Heidelberg University in Germany and Harvard, was appointed minister in July 1875. Locally he had served as vice-president of the Board of Education in 1870 and president of the board in 1874.
