DOG N' SUDS. Dog n' Suds was a midwestern chain of root beer and hot dog drive-in style restaurants with the now rare form of in-car "carhop" delivery service. The chain was created in Champaign, Illinois, by school teachers James Griggs and Don Hamacher. In 2010 licensing rights were owned by TK&C's LLC of Lafayette, Indiana.

The restaurants were very common throughout the 1950s and 1960s. At one time there were an estimated 850 sites nationally. Griggs sold his interest in the business in the early 1970s. As of 2009, sixteen locations remained open.

The 1966 Dubuque City Directory listed 800 Rhomberg.
