WETGEN, Mark. (Dubuque, IA-- ). A graduate of WAHLERT HIGH SCHOOL and the University of Iowa College of Law, Wetgen in 2011 served as a senior policy adviser to United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. In May, 2011 it was announced that President Obama had nominated Wetgen to become a member of the U. S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The commission had the power to oversee and regulate derivatives.
