HOME ELECTRIC COMPANY. Incorporated in 1899 to provide ELECTRIC POWER to Dubuque, the company purchased the franchise owned by the Dubuque Light and Traction Company. The directors of the company included W. J. Brown, John Peter ELLWANGER, George B. Kiesel, Benjamin William LACY, D. D. Myers, Hindrill Parsons, and Frank D. STOUT. The officers of the company were D. D. Myers, president; John Ellwanger, vice-president; George W. Kiesel, secretary-treasurer; and W. J. Brown, general manager. Home Electric was succeeded by UNION ELECTRIC COMPANY.
