DUBUQUE DRAINAGE COMPANY. Established around 1878, the company offered some level of hope to miners faced with water seeping into their mines. Offering pumps capable of removing up to 1,200 gallons of water per minute, the company was quickly sought out for their help. Officers of the firm included S.A. WOLCOTT, president and C. H. Meyer, secretary.
