Jackson, Evelyn. (Atonka, TN-- ). President, Dubuque chapter of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE (N.A.A.C.P.) . A retired elementary principal from Detroit, Michigan, Jackson came to Dubuque in 1993 and succeeded Ernestine MOSS as president of the civil rights organization in 1995.
