RHOMBERG BROS. CO. In 1898 Frank M. RHOMBERG and Alphonse J. RHOMBERG established their own wholesale liquor business. Frank had worked as a shipping clerk in St. Paul before returning to Dubuque to be a traveling salesman for his uncle Liberat Alphonse "L.A." RHOMBERG. At the time the business began, they were the youngest wholesale liquor dealers in Iowa.
The business began at 133 Clay. After 1901 the company was located at 414 Main.
The 1909 Dubuque City Directory located this business at 456-462 Main.
