COATES, Frank. (Dubuque, IA, July 22, 1870-- ). The son of William COATES, Frank Coates was involved in various businesses until he became twenty. He then began a real-estate business as a partner of Edward W. Duncan in the firm of Duncan & Coates. Frederick C. ROBINSON and Coates purchased the business.
