SCHMID, Titus B. Sr. (Dubuque, IA, February 10, 1854--Chicago, IL, 1906). Educated in the public schools, Schmid joined his father in the management of the IOWA BREWERY which was later operated at the SCHMID BROTHERS until the merger of breweries to form the DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY. In this company he was a major stockholder and a members of the board of directors. For many years he was also a director of the GERMAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK.

He was a member of the Dubuque Schutzen Society DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY, DUBUQUE GUN CLUB, Angler League, and the ELKS CLUB.
