YIANNIAS, James N. (Tegea, Greece-Dubuque, IA, Mar., 1967). Since coming to Dubuque in 1916, Yiannias was associated with the ownership and operation of theaters. In 1953 as the general manager of Maclay and Yiannias theaters, he was instrumental in bringing CinemaScope to the GRAND THEATER.

His business was succeeded by the Dubuque Theater Corporation operated by his son, Nicholas J. YIANNIAS. James Yiannias was the owner of the ORPHEUM and the Super 20 Drive-In.
