WILLIAM RYAN. The 1870-1871 Dubuque City Directory gave the address of this business as the south side of Jones between Water and Levee.
The 1873-74 through 1878-79 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of Water and Jones.
The 1884-1885 through 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of Jones and Water for William Ryan and Sons.
The 1899-1900 Dubuque City Directory listed 1217 Iowa as a meat market.
