ALEXANDER SIMPLOT. The 1878-79 Dubuque City Directory listed him as an engraver at 1562 White.
The 1880 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located at the JULIEN HOUSE.
The 1886-87 Dubuque City Directory listed the southwest corner of Main and 4th for his wood engraving business.
The 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed the corner of 5th and Main.
