KABAT, Joseph H. (Dubuque, IA, June 12, 1866--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 12, 1940). Clothing designer. Kabat, the son of one of Dubuque's premier clothing designers, was nationally acclaimed as a designer of clothing for sports figures. Famed customers included movie star Tom Mix, "Dizzy" Dean, Charles Albert COMISKEY, and Phillip K. Wrigley.
