FROMMELT, Andrew. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 21, 1921- ). Iowa legislator. Educated in Dubuque parochial and public schools, Frommelt was the business manager of labor organizations in Dubuque and worked in the insurance business. He served three consecutive terms as president of the [[DUBUQUE TRADES AND LABOR COUNCIL]] and was active in the credit union movement. In 1952-1953 he was secretary treasurer of Battery Workers credit union and a director of Holy Ghost credit union. He was elected to the 55th, 56th and 57th General Assemblies. He served as a member of the budget and financial control committee from 1953 to 1957 and 1959 to 1963.
