DAYKIN, Metcalf. (Dubuque County, IA, Mar. 20, 1848-- ). Proprietor Three Mile House. Except for a nine years residence in Wisconsin, from 1851 to 1860, Daykin was a constant residence of Dubuque County. He was the postmaster of [[CENTER GROVE]] and, in partnership with his brother John T. Daykin, served as the proprietor of the Three Mile House.
