KATZENJAMMERS. German band of the 1890s. Remembered for their merrily spontaneous parades down many of Dubuque's major [[STREETS]], the band also performed at the [[SAENGERBUND AUDITORIUM]]. Occasionally band members donned makeup and a variety of uniforms for an unannounced performance along Central Avenue where they visited taverns for a bit of music and liquid refreshment.
