ALTMAN, Franc Collier. (Dubuque, IA, Aug. 26, 1926--Dubuque, IA, May 9, 1999). Chairman of the board and CEO, SPAHN AND ROSE LUMBER COMPANY. Altman, son of Franc K. ALTMAN and grandson of Franc W. ALTMAN, served as president of the Spahn and Rose Lumber Company from 1972 through 1987. He was succeeded by Charles D. SPAHN.
Altman served more than twenty years on the board of the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB and more than sixteen years on the board of AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK.
