Several years later, Fairbanks entered the baking business. His company, [[J. E. FAIRBANKS AND COMPANY]], this area's first steam cracker bakery, used the first rotary ovens west of the [[MISSISSIPPI RIVER]]. Fairbanks was succeeded in this business by [[ALBEE, Edwin W.|Edwin W. ALBEE]].
