HILLDALE DAIRY. Founded in 1933, Hilldale Dairy was featured in the February 1949 issue of "Pure-Pake News," a publication dedicated to advances in processing and packaging food products. Don Mueller and Cletus Freiburger, co-owners of the company, reported their business doubled the first year after they pioneered the concept locally of packaging milk in paper containers.
