CHARLES F. HOEFFLIN. Hoefflin operated a bar at 646 Clay in 1899-1900 according to the Dubuque City Directory. Located at 1064 Clay Street, this business, a retailer and wholesaler of wines and liquors, was established in 1904 and purchased by Mr. Hoefflin in 1908. The company in 1911 employed no traveling salesmen.
The 1904-1905 Dubuque City Directory through the 1913 Dubuque and Dubuque County Directory stated that this business was located at 1956 Couler.
The 1915 Dubuque City Directory listed a family liquor store owned by him at 1942-1944 Couler.
