THE BRIDGE RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE. The well-known Dubuque restaurant and lounge opened in 1961 and in 2019 was still located in the same building at the same site.
In 1989 John and Theresa Hall sold the restaurant they had operated for thirteen years to Jim and Kathy Jones.
On New Year's Eve 1992, the restaurant was closed due to poor access and parking problems during work on Highway 151 and the JULIEN DUBUQUE BRIDGE.
The Halls re-opened the 250-seat restaurant in August, 1992. It was sold to Ray and Sandy Herzog who were operating it in 2019.
The 1962 through 2014 Dubuque City Directory listed 35 Locust.
