TSCHUDI, Fred. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 25, 1851--Dubuque, IA, June 29, 1916, p. 3  ). Tschudi attended the parochial schools of Dubuque until he was fifteen and then became an apprentice in the cigar makers' trade. (1) After two years, he entered the business career as a cigar maker on 9th Street, between Main and Locust. (2)
