HOME ELECTRIC COMPANY. Incorporated in 1899 to provide ELECTRIC POWER to Dubuque, the company succeeded the DUBUQUE LIGHT AND TRACTION COMPANY and the HILL STREET AND WEST DUBUQUE STEAM RAILWAY COMPANY .
The directors of the company included W. J. Brown, John Peter ELLWANGER, George B. Kiesel, Benjamin William LACY, D. D. Myers, Hindrill Parsons, and Frank D. STOUT. The officers of the company were D. D. Myers, president; John Ellwanger, vice-president; George W. Kiesel, secretary-treasurer; and W. J. Brown, general manager.
Home Electric was succeeded by UNION ELECTRIC COMPANY.
