WOODWARD, Bob III (Dubuque, IA-- ). The son of Barbara and Frederick Robert WOODWARD, Jr., Bob studied journalism at the University of Iowa and received his Bachelor of Arts in Business, Magna Cum Laude (2003-2004) from LORAS COLLEGE.
From 1983 to 1998 he served as the associate manager of University Book Stores at the University of Iowa. In 1985 he founded Advantage Information Management, an information technology and service company. From 1998 to 2003, he was the Managing Director-Weekly Specialty Publications, Associate Publisher-Telegraph Herald. In July 2004 Woodward became the manager of the Vernon Research Group, a market research company. He remained there until January 2009.
In January 2009 Woodward began as president/CEO of Alta Vista Research, Inc. This company conducted studies in consumer, business to business, communities, healthcare, financial institutions and other areas.
Woodward served on several for-profit and non-profit boards. These included Woodward Communications, Inc.; Junior Achievement of the Heartland; JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TRI-STATES INC. and the Dubuque Rotary Club. He also served on the boards for the DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, Envision 2010 Steering Committee, Iowa City Jazz Festival and Iowa City Road Races.
As President of the Dubuque Ice and Recreation Center, Inc., he was instrumental in the vision for and completion of the MYSTIQUE COMMUNITY ICE CENTER in 2010. He served on the Executive Committee of the Dubuque Sports Commission.
