CHICAGO, CASCADE AND WESTERN RAILWAY. Organized in 1893, the railway was to be headquartered in Cascade and capitalized at $2 million. The objective was to build a rail line in an easterly or southeasterly direction. If easterly, it would go through Dubuque. The provisional board of directors were Cascade residents.
