Haas, a partner in the firm of [[JUNKERMANN & HAAS]], 776 Main Street, began learning the drug business when only fourteen years of age. He emigrated to America in 1853 and came to Dubuque in 1854. In 1878 he was a partner of E. A. Linehan on 12th and Iowa. A article recalled him purchasing "Jacob," a cockatoo, both of which were still there thirty-eight years later. (1) | ||
