DUBUQUE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Established in 1962, the corporation was an organization of local businessmen formed to help provide buildings for new industry coming to Dubuque.
In February 1962 AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK, FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE, and INTERSTATE POWER COMPANY contributed $10,000 towards the purchase of stock in the corporation. This was at the time leading up to the beginning of URBAN RENEWAL in the community.
