E. R. LUMBERT & CO. The 1865 Guide, Gazetteer and Directory of the Dubuque & Soux (sic) City Railroad through 1873-74 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business was located at the corner of 7th and White.
In July 1873, the company charged in an article that lumber dealers in Dubuque had met on July 16, 1873 and agreed to prohibit selling to any person except a dealer who belonged to the "Combination."
