VAN VLECK, Earl. (East Dubuque, IL, Aug. 20, 1913--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 28, 1994). A national director of the Future Farmers of America, Van Vleck received a national award from the organization, along with President Gerald Ford, in 1974. He retired from the Farm Journal in 1976.
