KIENE, Henry. (Dubuque, IA, Jan. 21, 1859--Dubuque, IA, July 18, 1930). Real estate developer. A graduate of the [[BAYLESS BUSINESS COLLEGE]] in Dubuque, Kiene went on to establish a bank, lumberyard, and mercantile business outside of the city before returning to Dubuque about 1900.

Upon his return, Kiene organized the Coggon and Anamosa Railroad and for many years directed its building and operation. He organized the Quality Oil Company in 1925 and was active in the management of the company until one year before his death.
