WEBER, Merlyn "Spike." (Dubuque, IA, May 26, 1921--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 17, 1979). Weber, the 1980 president of the [[DUBUQUE SOFTBALL HALL OF FAME]], also served as president of the Dubuque Bowling Association and Dubuque Tavern Keepers' Association. For thirty-one years an annual participant in national tournaments, Weber held charter membership in the Dubuque 700 Bowling Club of America.
