MCDONALD, Robert Delos. (Dubuque, IA, Jan 30, 1931- ). Chairman of the board and chief executive officer of A.Y.MCDONALD MANUFACTURING COMPANY. McDonald joined the internationally known manufacturing firm in 1956 as a salesman. He held the position of sales manager from 1961-1964 and then through a series of advancements rose to the position of president in 1985. He became chairman of the board and chief executive officer in 1987.
McDonald was a member of the board of directors of the A. Y. McDonald Manufacturing Company Charitable Foundation, STONEHILL CARE CENTER, DUBUQUE RACING ASSOCIATION, and the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB.
