LINDEN PROPELLER. Gary Linden started Linden Propeller in 1983 at a time when Dubuque's economy was near it bottom. With push-button hydraulics, the company repairs propellers of all kinds from fishing boats to luxury yachts.
In 2008 the company was awarded a patent for the Prop Press 360 which could repair propellers up to forty-two inches in diameter. In 2013 the company announced its Prop Press 500 which was able to handle propellers up to fifty inches in diameter. In March 2013 the company announced that its sales--machines costing from $84,000-$100,000--had been made to businesses across the United States, Bermuda and Croatia.
