In 2013 the renovation of the Linseed Oil Paintworks Building at 901 Jackson was underway. Helping in the project was the announcement of a $2.2 million grant that would help fund an estimated $4 million project to create 16 rental units in the building. The project was one of a dozen approved buy the Iowa Economic Development Authority for federal community development block grants. | |||
