MACLAY, John Herbert. (Dubuque, IA, Dec. 29, 1873- ). MAYOR. Maclay, a member of the Dubuque City Council from 1926 to 1929, held the office of mayor from 1928 to 1929. A real estate and insurance agent, he was employed by [[BRADLEY, Jr. William L.|William L. BRADLEY, Jr.]] from 1890 to 1903. In 1917 Maclay was secretary of the Realty Improvement Company. He became president of the Key City Gas Company in 1935.
