BLUMENAUER, M. (Germany, Aug. 12, 1836--  ). Brewer. Blumenauer came to America in 1842, and grew up in Frederick City, Maryland.  He came to Dubuque in 1856 and worked for the brewery of Titus Schmid & Co. as superintendent. He later ran the brewery himself. Blumenauer held the office of city alderman from the Fifth Ward and served as mayor, pro tem.
