[[ROOSTER FLOUR MILLS began business on February 8, 1879 The 1884-1885 through 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory listed the business location as the southwest corner of 18th and Pine. The company also produced bolted meal, coarse meal, chop feed and bran.
In 1888 the company became the Key City Roller Mills but continued to produce Rooster Flour. The mill was destroyed by fire on May 12, 1942. (1)
