A. A. HEEB. A member of the safety committee of the DUBUQUE AUTOMOBILE CLUB, Heeb was a local leader in championing right-of-way issues. (1) He was one of three members of the club who petitioned the city council in 1928 to issue a Safety Week Proclamation while members of the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs were charged with making and distributing signs. The Dubuque Women's Club was asked to secure the cooperation of churches. (2) In the early years of the 1900s, he was a member of the "visiting tours" sponsored by the Dubuque Automobile Club. These became the famous "sociability tours" of the Chamber of Commerce. (3)
The 1915 through the 1918 Dubuque City Directory listed 503 BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING.
